Puppy Health Guarantee
Sunrise Pups LLC offers a 1 or 2 year Health Guarantee for every puppy sold. Said guarantee must be purchased separately from the puppy for $49.95 or $99.95. Below are the Health Guarantee activation instructions. Additionally, every puppy adopted is up to date with their vaccinations and worming schedules. **If Health Guarantee is not purchased Sunrise Pups LLC assumes no further responsibility for the puppy’s health**

Sunrise Pups warranty each puppy, in accordance with above provision & completion of first Vet visit within 7 days of delivery, for 365 days from the date of birth. This protects against life threatening hereditary and congenital disorders only. Sunrise Pups does not cover common parasites such as coccidian, or giardia; nor do we cover bacteria related upper respiratory infections as both of these are simple to treat and should never be a cause for death. Absolutely no warranty claims will be accepted for issues resulting from low blood sugar as such condition is a direct result of lack of nutrition and would be considered negligence. We will not offer cash refunds or vet bill refunds. In the event that a puppy suffers a hereditary or congenital disorder we will offer a replacement puppy at the purchasers' expense of sending/bringing back the original puppy.
A licensed veterinarian must examine your puppy within 7 days of delivery. If a problem is found, Sunrise Pups veterinarian will interpret the report and if found to be in agreement a replacement puppy will be given (from current litter or future litter). No cash or credit refunds will be given. If the purchaser fails to have puppy checked by a licensed veterinarian within the 7 days of delivery, Sunrise Pups, assumes no further responsibility and the guarantee is VOID.
Should death occur in the first 365 days, & assuming purchaser purchased a health guarantee, a death certificate from the purchaser's licensed veterinarian must be presented. If the death is found to be caused by a congenital defect Sunrise Pups will replace with a new available puppy of like value, current or future litter (shipping cost is to be paid by purchaser).
The only exclusion to our Health Guarantee/Warrantee is that we will not accept any claim made by Banfield Pet Hospitals: Banfield is associated with Petsmart Pet Supplies (Banfield has wonderful Vets: they do however take unnecessary precautions while treating your puppy which in turn drives your bill up substantially).
Replacement puppies will be mutually agreed upon by Sunrise Pups and purchaser and be of comparable bloodlines. It is understood that said puppy may not be of exact parents of original puppy. Again, throughout all of this, all veterinarian charges & other costs once leaving Sunrise Pups care incurred by the purchaser are responsible of exactly that: the purchaser. Puppies can become stressed by shipping, adjustments to a new home environment, new diet, improper handling, etc. Such stressors may bring problems such as: worms, coccidiosis, hypoglycemia, etc. Sunrise Pups has no control over puppy’s environment once they leave our care and these conditions are responsibility of purchaser as well as any veterinarian expense.
Puppies are sold as pet quality with no registrations unless otherwise advertised on our (this) website . The ability to sire or whelp puppies is not guaranteed by Sunrise Pups. Sunrise Pups will attempt to accurately estimate size/personality/color of puppies as accurately as possible. However, because of genetic factors out of our control we do not guarantee any of the above. In the event that the original purchaser decides to sell or give the puppy away: the health guarantee is immediately VOID & Sunrise Pups assumes no further responsibility whatsoever.

Hypoglycemia in Dogs (Low Blood Sugar)
Hypoglycemia is a condition that occurs primarily in small breeds between 6 and 12 weeks of age. A hypoglycemic attack is often precipitated by stress. The typical signs are listlessness, depression, staggering gait, muscular weakness, and tremors-especially of the face. Puppies with a severe drop in blood sugar develop seizures or become stuporous and go into a coma. Death can follow. This particular sequence of symptoms is not always seen though. For example, some puppies exhibit only weakness or a wobbly gait. Occasionally a puppy that seemed just fine is found in coma.
Episodes of hypoglycemia often occur without warning-for example, when a puppy is stressed by shipping. Other common causes of acute hypoglycemia are missing a meal, chilling, becoming exhausted from too much play, or having an upset stomach. These events place an added strain on the energy reserves of the liver. Treatment: The treatment of an acute attack is aimed at restoring the blood sugar. Begin immediately. If the puppy is awake and able to swallow, give corn syrup or sugar water by syringe, or rub corn syrup, honey, or glucose paste on the gums (Fortical). You should see improvement in 30 minutes. If not, call your veterinarian. If the pup is unconscious, do not give an oral solution because it will be inhaled. Rub corn syrup, honey, or glucose paste on the gums and proceed at once to your veterinarian. This puppy will require an intravenous dextrose solution and may need to be treated for brain swelling. Oral glucose paste (Fortical) is sold at pharmacies. If you know your dog is subject to hypoglycemic attacks, keep this product on hand.
Prevention: Susceptible puppies should be fed at least four times a day. It is important to feed a high-carbohydrate, high-protein, high-fat diet. It is essential that the diet be high quality. Your veterinarian can recommend an appropriate premium food.
Food supplements and table scraps should not exceed 5 to 10 percent of the total daily ration. Owners of toy puppies should take precautions to see that they do not become excessively tired or chilled. Many (but not all) puppies outgrow this problem.
